Prince of Persia

Prince of Persia is a classic platformer that completely revolutionized what was possible when it first hit the Apple II back in 1989. The work of a single designer, Jordan Mechner, it won plaudits for its heavy use of rotoscoping. Mechner actually filmed his brother performing all of the jumping, running and climbing, and used a duel from the 1930s’ film The Adventures of Robin Hood for the sword fighting. This was the 1980s, so the graphics were quite primitive! Navigate the dungeon, avoid the traps, time those jumps and rescue the princess! This game is modeled on the SNES version.
